Faustina at the Cooper Square Hotel is currently seeking full time bartenders to become part of our staff. Faustina is the latest concept from award-winning chef Scott Conant, who is also chef/owner of *** Scarpetta in the Meatpacking District. We are looking for committed, knowledgeable RESTAURANT bartenders who are looking to grow with us and become part of our great team. We are an upscale casual concept, focusing on modern interpretations of Italian food. We are a very busy restaurant and the potential for both personal and professional growth is great. Candidates MUST be able to work 3-5 shifts a week, which includes weekend brunches, weekday daytime shifts, and nights. The ideal candidate would possess the following skills and characteristics.-2+ years experience in a restaurant bar setting
-Strong knowledge of Italian wines
-Confidence in serving, selling, and talking about food
-Knowledgeable in the New York dining scene. (Critics, chefs, ect.)
-Strong customer service skills
-Well rounded knowledge of spirits and cocktails, including specialty Italian spirits
-Experience as a server a plus
-Full time availability, including weekend brunches. This is a requirement.We are holding an open call for this position on Friday, May 14th from Noon-2:30PM in our 2nd floor bar. Candidates should arrive on time with resumes in hand. Please ask hostess/doorman for directions to our 2nd Floor bar. Candidates please keep in mind that we are hiring RESTAURANT bartenders.
