Alphabet City is getting another bar. Billy Bishop, the proprietor of Bleecker Street’s Thunder Jackson bar, is opening a second location at 25 Avenue B, between East Second and East Third streets. The 10-year deal is for 1,700 square feet on the ground level and 1,700 square feet in the basement; both levels will be used as retail space. The address, which had an asking rent of $106 per square foot, once housed the legendary after-hours club Save the Robots, but has been vacant for some time.
