DNAInfo: Rent Guidelines Board Votes in Favor of Rent Increases, at Cooper Union

EAST VILLAGE — The Rent Guidelines Board voted to hike rents on the city's 1 million rent-stabilized apartments at a contentious meeting Wednesday despite consistent pressure from tenants demanding a freeze.

The board voted 5-4 in favor of increasing rents by 2 to 4 percent for one-year leases, and 4 to 6 percent for two-year leases.
