A smarter thief would have worn gloves.
A fingerprint match led to the arrest of a man suspected of making off with computers and jewelry from an East Village apartment.
Miquel Santos, 49, slipped inside the apartment on East 10th Street near First Avenue at 10 a.m. on Dec. 31 and made off with eight pieces of jewelry and two laptops, cops said.
Police collected fingerprints from the door and matched them to the suspect's on file.
Santos was busted Monday and charged with burglary.
